Debra Loving
Debra Loving holds several titles including wife of 22 years, mother of 5, grandmother of 3 boys, Minister, and Business Owner. Debra obtained her associates degree in Early Childhood Development from Wayne County Community College in 2006. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Counseling and Psychology at Rochester University in December 2008. She obtained her master’s degree in Counseling in 2012 from Spring Arbor Christian University.
Debra opened Pathways2 PLLC Counseling Center in 2012, just two weeks after graduating with her master’s degree. During the last eight years of business, she and her team have accomplished opening 3 locations, obtained certification by the state of Michigan to provide substance abuse services, and achieved an astute accreditation with the Joint Commission. Her team currently is comprised of 3 doctors, 34 counselors, and 7 full time staff.
The Philosophy of Pathways2 PLLC Counseling Center is encompassed by a culture built on the values and beliefs of Debra Loving. The company also adopted an acronym, created by her spiritual father, Dr. Hugh D. Smith, which is S.E.R.V.E. (Selfless, Edify, Relational, Value, and Empower). Debra strives to show a hurting world and community compassion by providing excellent services, while at the same time not diminishing one’s pain nor negating their values and beliefs.
Pathways2 PLLC Counseling Center offers likeminded professionals a place of business that encourages learning, expansion of skills, and the sharing of natural gifts as providers of mental health and servants of the Lord. Debra and her team offer safety for individuals to tell their story, listen without judgment or opinion, and pave a path with guidance toward hope and healing.
Debra encourages others to banish the shame and move toward unconditional self-acceptance, vulnerability, and positive change. Carl Jung, a Swiss Psychiatrist and Psychoanalyst during the earlier part of the 1900’s once said, “Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams: Who looks inside awakes.”
Angela Mitchell
Angela Mitchell is the CEO and Senior Financial Coach and Wealth Strategist of DNA Financial Services LLC. She has worked in the financial industry for over 20 years with Flagstar Bancorp and has lived through the ups and downs of the industry.
Angela graduated from Oakland University with a degree in Business Administration and received her Financial Markets Certification from Yale University. She also completed her One on One Coaching training through Dave Ramsey’s Master Coaching Series and finished top of the class of an extensive entrepreneurial program at The Joseph Business School.
Accomplishments include rising from a clerk/typist in the shipping department to the Vice President of TPO Risk Management at Flagstar Bank. Along the way, she won awards for outstanding customer service, trained and produced leaders within her company and worked with emerging markets to creating a women’s minority home buyer seminar so well received that she was featured in the 2006 inaugural issue of Who’s Who in Black Detroit. She has worked in real estate and taught numerous home buyer education courses and assisted many in achieving the dream of home ownership. Angela has worked with Junior Achievement in teaching elementary students financial literacy and assisted non-profit organizations with her knowledge and professionalism. All this while being a wife and mother of three, Angela has made a career of helping others succeed and move forward.
Angela’s heart has always been to help people master their finances, and whether working one on one, step by step with clients or in group settings, the goal remains to educate, equip and empower them with developing wealth building strategies through financial education.
Nathan Hunter
Nathan Hunter has been a certified personal trainer for over 25 years. He developed Nhunterfitness, a program that has been crafted through many years of research and practice. Nathan is also a Health and Fitness Professor at Macomb Community College. It is his mission to offer fitness to groups and individuals based on the latest research in health and fitness, dietary nutrition, and motivational methods to help all clients reach and exceed their individual health and fitness goals.
Nhunterfitness offers individual Personal Training, Group Classes; including High Intensity Interval Training, Kickboxing, Boot Camp, and Core Strength, Group Personal Training, Dietary and Nutrition Counseling.
Katherine Luckett-Watson
Katherine Luckett-Watson has functioned in an executive capacity since 2001. She currently serves in the role of Director of Strategic Growth for Heritage Vision Plans and Heritage Optical located in the city of Detroit. Previously, she served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for UNIBAR Services, Inc. and its subsidiaries ACCU-READ Services and UNIBAR Damage Prevention Group, LLC. With UNIBAR Services, the customer loyalty allowed the company to book over $230 million in recurring contract sales over 17 years under her management. She has an exceptionally quick ability to identify areas for improvement and she has the ability to see beyond the now and look to the “big picture” imploring strategies that have long term effects on growth.
Katherine received a Bachelor of Science Business Administration degree from University of Detroit. A few of her other accomplishments include, being a member of Executive Women’s International. She was Featured in Crain’s Detroit Business as well as the Michigan Web Journal. Katherine was recognized by Edison Electric Institute (EEI) for exceptional contribution, commitment and guidance and she was a Webinar Presenter for the Women’s Business Executive National Council (WBENC).
Katherine has a love for people and she has developed a business model that allows her service women with a unique fashion sense. She is always encouraging them to look and feel their best, which comes from the inside out. She started Epiphany – Women’s Clothing & Accessories as a platform to serve women who love life and love fashion on a personal level!
Carmita Jefferson
Carmita N. Jefferson holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management from Wayne State University. During her tenure at Wayne she joined Delta Sigma Pi, a co-ed business fraternity. She then graduated with a Masters of Arts degree in Counseling. Her journey while pursuing her Counseling degree at Ashland Theological Seminary helped her in her pursuit of becoming a qualified Counselor. She has also received specialized training in teen health and trauma.
As a Licensed Counselor she believes that no one person is the same as we are all unique and she applies that philosophy to her counseling practice. Although we are all different, our circumstances are not too difficult to change. She helps her clients apply specific tools to overcome obstacles in their lives. She supports her clients as they journey through the areas of their lives and strive for growth in a safe, non-judgmental, and nurturing environment and she welcomes the opportunity to sit with anyone on their journey of healing.
